Groton — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who they said robbed People's United Bank Monday morning.

According to police, the man entered the bank inside Super Stop & Shop on Route 12 and left with an undisclosed amount of money. Police didn't immediately say whether he fled on foot or in a vehicle, but identified a vehicle that may have been used in connection with the robbery. The vehicle is believed to be a red, Ford F-150 extended cab pickup truck, which may have Rhode Island registration plates, the release said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at (860) 441-6712.
