Since Superstorm Sandy last October, the waterfront of Camp Harkness has been closed for repairs. Work has begun to get the property back into shape for the coming summer. The New London Garden Club hosted a program Tuesday with an agenda intended to promote a balanced approach to the tree-utility line conflicts that have plagued the state since Tropical Storm Irene in 2011. Experts warn homeowners to take a close look at their trees this spring because damaged from recent storms may mean they have to be replaced.
