Norwich theater hosts "Originals"

Writers and performers from around the region are joining together to present a series of monologues and short plays in Norwich.

The show is called "Originals," and it runs this weekend and next at the Donald L. Oat Theater.

MaryKay Kelleher directs "Originals," whose individual short works take place at locales ranging from a séance to a high school reunion, and whose characters include such quirky souls as an eco-savvy hitman.

The writers are Jill Lumberton, James Kenny, Henry Savin, Diana Bishop and Kelleher. The actors are Rich Weingart, Kevin Ladd, Nancy Gatto, Hilary Weissberg, Savin, and Kelleher.

Proceeds from "Originals" benefit the Donald L. Oat Theater.
