2 brothers-in-law arrested after fight, stabbing
WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (AP) — Police said two brothers-in-law from Willimantic have been arrested after one stabbed the other in a domestic dispute.
Police say 23-year-old Jose Sanchez stabbed 23-year-old Robinson Acevedo in the chest Saturday night.
Police Cpl. Stanley Parizo Jr. tells WFSB-TV emergency workers responding to a reported stabbing around 8 p.m. at first couldn't find a victim. They got another call from a nearby elderly housing complex, and found Acevedo lying outside. He told police he was trying to get to a hospital a few yards away. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Acevedo is held on $10,000 bail on charges of threatening, disorderly conduct, and third-degree assault charges. Sanchez is held on $75,000 bail on charges of first-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
Both men are due in court Monday. It's not known if they have attorneys.
