Connecticut food delivery person slain; 4 teens charged
Waterbury — Police say a woman delivering Chinese food in Connecticut has been shot and killed and two teenage girls are among four people facing murder charges.
Waterbury police say officers responding to reports of a robbery at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday found a man and a woman injured.
The victims were delivery people for a Chinese restaurant and had been attacked and robbed while making a delivery.
The male victim had been assaulted and the woman had been shot in the neck. The woman, identified as 59-year-old Helena Vargas, was taken to the hospital where she died.
Police on Wednesday morning arrested four people: 19 year-old Anthony Wright, a 16-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl. It could not immediately be determined if the suspects had lawyers.
