Police: Cheshire juvenile charged with producing explosives

CHESHIRE, Conn. (AP) — A juvenile has been arrested after authorities allege he and another suspect were found researching and making explosives in a wooded area in Connecticut.

Police say the Cheshire teen turned himself into police on Sept. 26. He faces charges of manufacturing a bomb, conspiracy to manufacture a bomb and reckless endangerment. A warrant is still pending for a second suspect.

Police say the arrest stems from an investigation in January by local police, state police and the New Haven FBI office. Authorities say the investigation found that the two suspects were producing explosive devices in the town.
