Does anyone know what’s going on in "True Detective" season 2? Are you still watching?

We just finished episode 4, fabulously called “Down Will Come,” and we’re hanging in there. Our three detectives, Ray Velcoro (Colin Farrell), Ani Bezzerides (Rachel McAdams), and Paul Woodrugh (Taylor Kitsch), are as damaged as any literary characters can be as they try to solve a murder in the sad and dark California town of Vinci (based loosely on another sad and dark California town). Along the way, so far, there’s land disputes, a new version of Vince Vaughn many don't understand, drugs, gambling, a railway, alcohol, fertility problems and e-cigarettes.

The story is unfolding, slowly, and we go over it all — to the best of our ability — during our latest podcast.
