‘Walking Dead’ podcast: It’s official: Everyone has lost it
The last two episodes of “The Walking Dead” bring to mind the following line from William Butler Yeats’ great poem, “The Second Coming”: “Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold ...”
Which is to say, things aren’t feeling too warm and fuzzy in Alexandria and environs. Now that a mission of diplomacy has turned into a blood bath, we’re left wondering if Rick and his crew are doomed to a bloodthirsty, Thunderdome-esque existence. Even Father Gabriel has started shooting! Can they maintain their light grip on the old ways? You know, NOT shooting our neighbors before we know what they’re all about? Things like TALKING over differences before we kidnap each other. It’s not looking good. What kind of a world is baby Judith and Maggie’s baby-to-be going to inherit?
We talk it out on our latest “TV Takeout” podcast. To listen, just press the “Play” button below and you’ll be off like an RV down a country road.
For those who catch the Carol and Paula reference, enjoy this.
