    UConn women to compete at next season's Paradise Jam

    The UConn women’s basketball team will compete against Ole Miss, Purdue and St. John’s in the Reef Division in the 2018 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, the team announced Thursday.

    The women’s basketball Paradise Jam will be held Nov. 22-24 at the University of the Virgin Islands’ Sports and Fitness Center. UConn will begin play against Ole Miss at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 before facing St. John’s at 7:30 p.m. on the 23rd. The Huskies will conclude the Jam at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 24 against Purdue.

    All games for the Paradise Jam will be streamed online at FloHoops.com.

    The Huskies previously competed in the 2007 and 2012 Paradise Jams and won their division titles in both years. UConn is 99-38 all-time in regular-season tournaments and has won its last 55 games in regular-season tournaments, dating back to 1992.

    Ole Miss finished the 2017-18 season with a 12-19 record, including a 1-15 mark in the Southeastern Conference. Purdue went 20-14 overall and 9-7 in the Big Ten, eventually advancing to the WNIT. St. John’s went 19-15 overall, 9-9 in the Big East and played in the WNIT.
