    USS Indiana returns home from deployment

    The U.S. Navy Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Indiana (SSN 789) returned to the Naval Submarine Base in Groton on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 following a six-month deployment.

    The Indiana is commanded by Cmdr. Scott Bresnahan and has a crew of over 130. The crew of Indiana executed the chief of naval operations’ maritime strategy in supporting national security interests and maritime security operations during their deployment.

    SSN 789 was commissioned Sept. 29, 2018 and is the third U.S. warship commissioned under the name Indiana.
