Book tip: Latest John Wells novel hits all the right thriller notes

    The Deceivers, Alex Berenson

It's hard to believe that former CIA operative John Wells is still alive. This is the 12th novel in which he's saved the world — and, by God, I wuv him and author Alex Berenson for it in a big way. Berenson is always topical and, this time out, Russia is being exceedingly clever in their plans to interfere with a U.S. Presidential election, preying on fears of Middle East terrorism through spectacular means. Hopscotching from Mexico to Colombia, Montana to Moscow and Washington D.C. to Dallas — wait! Did Muslim baddies really just kill hundreds during a Dallas Mavericks basketball game?! (Not a spoiler; the book jacket says as much but it's still stunning when it happens). The fantastic plot, character development and action are insidiously riveting. Thank you, John. We as Americans owe you!
