Goodspeed Musicals is honoring producer Sue Frost with its Goodspeed Award for Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre.

Frost, who has a home in Old Lyme, worked as Goodspeed's associate producer for 20 years, producing more than 50 new musicals. She left Goodspeed in 2005 and co-founded Junkyard Dog Productions with Randy Adams and Kenny and Marleen Alhadeff. A gala event honoring Frost's contributions to musical theater and her dedication to fostering new works will be held June 9 at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Statino, 55 Bridge St., Haddam.

All proceeds from this 18th annual gala will be used to support Goodspeed's New Works initiatives. Previous honorees include Julie Andrews, Kristin Chenoweth, Chita Rivera, Tommy Tune, Martin Charnin, Charles Strouse and Thomas Meehan.

Tickets start at $500. For more information about the gala, contact Mary Miko at mmiko@goodspeed.org or call (860) 873-8664, ext. 368.
