Hall & Oates return to Foxwoods for Saturday concert
Well, as a morbid but perhaps understandable bit of curiosity in this world when our heroes are getting older, I added it up. Between them, John Oates and Daryl Hall are 142 years old.
Wow. That's EXACTLY the same number of hits they've had!
On the Good side of the ledger, Hall & Oates are still touring, and they still sound tremendous (never forget they have an incredible band to support those voices and hooks). The act appears Saturday in the Grand Theater at Foxwoods, and you can rely on the fact that every chorus is something spot-welded in the archives of your brain.
Just to be snarky, though — and I can say this because I am a longtime fan — here's a short list of great H&O songs you will NOT hear but would if I was making the setlists: "Las Vegas Turnaround," "Method of Modern Love," the wonderful "August Day" and my fave of theirs, "Lady Rain."
Hall & Oates, 8 p.m. Saturday, Grand Theater, Foxwoods; $95-$225; 1-800-200-2882.
