What was the biggest surprise in the recent new version of “A Star Is Born”?

That Bradley Cooper could sing?

That Lady Gaga could act?

Or how about this: That Andrew Dice Clay could give a straightforward, credible performance as Gaga’s father?

I vote for the latter.

Riding high of the success of that movie, the Diceman is on the road, doing his standup. He’ll be at Foxwoods’ Fox Theater on Saturday.

Should we say … he’s far from the shallow now?
