    Miss Lottie's Cafe pays tribute to Muddy Waters on Friday

    The Norwich Arts Center series “Miss Lottie’s Café” presents an evening of songs in the style of the blues great Muddy Waters, where Muddy will be portrayed by Paul “Sweet P” Williams.

    The show will begin at 8 p.m. Friday. 

    Williams, who hails from Providence, R.I., is a guitarist and vocalist with vast experience performing blues, jazz, R&B, gospel and other genres of music. He also has theatrical and acting experience. 

    He is the guitarist for “Steppin’ Out featuring New Image,” the music coordinator at the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative, the guitarist with RPM Voices of RI, vocalist and guitarist of the Sweet P Blues Band and a guitarist with The Lois Vaughn Jazz Band.

    Miss Lottie’s Café is a historical theater series that celebrates straight-ahead jazz and the blues and features musicians and performers of color.

    Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, military and students and $18 for NAC members.
