Don’t stop … believin’: Journey tribute band Frontiers at the Kate

The opinions of some people are simply more important than others. So when Journey stars Steve Perry and Neal Schon both tweet that Frontiers is their favorite Journey tribute band, well, that carries some weight.

And good news for local Journey fans: Frontiers is playing the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center on Friday, a concert that was delayed from a year ago because of the pandemic.

The show promises performances of all of the group’s biggest hits, from “Anyway You Want It” to “Open Arms” to “Faithfully” to the song that has developed a life of its own, thanks to “The Sopranos” and “Rock of Ages”: “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

Frontiers, 8 p.m. Friday, Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main St., Old Saybrook; $39, $44; (860) 510-0453.
