    Jackson Browne headlines Foxwoods Sunday

    Jackson Browne (Dylan Coulter)

Let it be known to Mr. Jackson Browne that few people in this solar system admire his music more than my friend and colleague here at The Day, Brian Hallenbeck.

In fact, when I was reviewing a Browne concert in 2004 at Foxwoods, I glanced down the aisle and — yep! — there was Brian. Though I've seen hundreds of shows in my life and reviewed dozens if not a hundred, I don't remember ever feeling quite as much pressure to get the review "right" as I did with Brian four seats down from me.

Browne, and presumably Hallenbeck, will return to Foxwoods and the Premier Theater Sunday. The songwriter is on the road behind his brand new "Downhill From Everywhere" album. On it, the songwriter demonstrated capably that he's still really great at being Jackson Browne. This means smart, resonating music — Hallenbeck's three faves out of many are "Before the Deluge," "For Everyman" and "Jamaica Say You Will" — and Browne is famous for hilarious between-tunes chatter.

Jackson Browne, 7 p.m. Sunday, Premier Theater, Foxwoods; $60-$85; foxwoods.com.
