Limp Bizkit, proudly making fine nu metal since 1994, returns to Mohegan Sun Arena Thursday. Lead guitarist Wes Borland still takes the stage like a one-man Spirit Halloween store inventory, while vocalist Fred Durst now embraces the physical reality of his half-century on the planet, looking like he got delivered to the venue on a hay wagon after a long day sipping Old Crow while weeding the wheat field.

On the one hand, it's reassuring the Bizkit will deliver tunes like "Nookie" and "Break Stuff" with Borland shredding from behind a 3-D shark mask — and at the same time it's delightfully odd to see Durst crooning those same songs as though the town wino was slayin' 'em at the neighborhood bar on "Limp Bizkit Karaoke Night."
