Stonington's La Grua Center starts their Summer Concerts on the Green music series Friday with a performance by the innovative band Twisted Pine.

The free show takes place on the La Grua Commons Green.

Twisted Pine put the "a" back amalgam — which already had plenty of a's to begin with. They deliver virtuoso acoustic improvisation with a decided groove and a gleaming appreciation for a pop hook — all twirled together with joy and imagination. It's a promising start to a season's worth of fine music in the Borough, and feel free to bring chairs and blankets.
