Community loses another extraordinary advocate

The sudden passing of Milton Cook so soon after losing another community stalwart, has sent shivers throughout the community. Their service to the community made them extraordinary people. In Mr. Cook, the region has lost a tireless, steady advocate for those who were less fortunate, left out, and those on the margins of society. Those who needed help in getting back into the workforce and becoming productive members of society, OIC was there and, so too, Mr. Cook.

Whenever there were meetings concerning mistreatment of those who did not have a voice, Mr. Cook was always there to advocate on their behalf. In advocating for those who suffered from unequal treatment, he was really serving the entire community. For we are all one community. Mr. Cook undoubtedly knew that in helping those who were less fortunate, everyone benefits.

We owe his family a great deal of thanks for the sacrifices they must have made that allowed him to do what he did for all those years.
