What You Need To Know About Rich

Rich Kosta is better known to the rest of the Eastern Connecticut Conference as Fitch High School's athletic director. Or at least the guy who is the best in the league at running and overseeing track meets. But it's the vocation of "coach" that many athletes in the school know him. Kosta led the Falcons this year to their first ECC Large Division title since 2008 and their first ECC tournament title since 2009.

Kosta has also coached indoor track and cross country at the school. He was named The Day's 2005 Indoor Track Coach of the Year. Kosta won the ECC Large Division championship that year with the Falcons and placed second in Class L. Kosta's coaching trademark is a golf cart that allows him to zip around to various events. Kosta's role among the athletic directors of the ECC is to oversee the sport of football.
