New London – Police said a loose pit bull Sunday night bit a woman who tried to stop the dog from biting a child.
The victim refused medical treatment after being bitten on the right thigh around 10 p.m. and officers were eventually able to corral the dog after it ran inside a home at 9 Denison Ave.
Police said no disposition has been made on the case, which is being investigated by the animal control officer.
