New Britain man charged in Foxwood slots scam
Mashantucket — The State Police Casino Unit has charged a New Britain man who was already being at the Corrigan Radgowski Correctional center with conspiring with others to fraudulently appropriate more than $20,000 in bonus slot payments at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Jay A. Cifizzari, 39, was charged Friday with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny and arraigned in New London Superior Court.
State police said this morning the investigation is continuing and more arrests are pending.
Cifizzari was also charged on Nov. 3, 2012 with criminal impersonation and interfering with a police officer at Foxwoods.
He is now being held on a $75,500 bond and is slated to appear in court again on Jan. 25.
