Contra Dance in Mystic
Thursday 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Contra dancing is easy to learn. Allemande right your corner, balance and swing your partner! A live band for music, playing traditional Irish or French Canadian tunes. Dances are led by a caller, who teaches every dance. You can learn the basic moves in fifteen minutes! It’s a community event – dancers might be from 7-70 years old. Everyone is welcome: singles, couples, families and we are GLBT friendly. Wear cool, comfortable clothing and shoes. Contra dancing is informal!
