Essex Art Association’s Late Summer 2018 Open Exhibition - “Odd Perspective”

Essex Art Association’s Late Summer 2018 Open Exhibition - “Odd Perspective”; Wednesday, September, 12, 2018

Wednesday  1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

The last exhibit of the Essex Art Association’s gallery season is an Open Exhibition and welcomes all area artists to submit up to two pieces of artwork for display. Open exhibits offer an eclectic mix of styles and creativity for the public’s viewing pleasure. The show is juried for awards only, with the EAA distributing $1800 in nine categories. In addition, one artist will be awarded a solo exhibit in the EAA Gantner Gallery during the 2019 gallery season.

Exhibition chair, Tony Donovan, describes the exhibit theme “Odd Perspective” with these words: confusing, false, personal, youthful, reverse, very close, distant. Submitting artists are encouraged to display work that reflects these themes.

The EAA Gantner Gallery exhibit “From Where I Sit” will feature the artwork of Michele Sinkez.

The show runs August 25 – September 15. Gallery hours: 1-5 pm daily, closed Tuesdays.
