Toot toot! Thomas the Tank Engine, his buddy, Percy, and Sir Topham Hatt are pulling into Essex Station this spring for the "Big Adventures Tour!" Thomas & Friends will be here on April 21, 28-29, & May 5-6, with departure times every 45 minutes from 9:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. Passengers select a departure time when purchasing a ticket (ride is approx. 25 minutes) but will enjoy fun-filled family activities all day long!
After meeting Thomas, guests will also have the opportunity to meet Sir Topham Hatt, the Controller of the Railway on the Island of Sodor, and Percy the Small Green Engine!

Included in your ticket price, you and your little ones have access to unlimited carnival rides, face painting featuring Day Out with Thomas characters, Isle of Sodor storytelling, a special Thomas the Tank Engine video theater & magic show and Thomas the Tank Engine play areas! Plus, Caboose the Clown will be joining us and creating colorful balloon characters, while Sunny Train presents her beloved music show.

Home School families are invited to join us for a fun and educational program held by Miss Ty at the Public Library of New London. The suggested grades are 1st to 6th grade but all ages are welcome to attend with parental supervision. This free program will be held on the fourth Monday of every month at 12:30 pm. In March we will be making our own wooden birdhouses to welcome Spring, registration will be required as space is limited. In April the Chelsea Groton Bank will do a workshop on money management in honor of Money Smart Week, registration is not required.

Groton Senior Center and Groton Parks and Recreation present another 5k mud run with fun & challenging obstacles along the trails of Fields of Fire Adventure Park. Fun for all ages and what memories!! Open to those 10 years old and older.

This is family friendly. Yet, there are two trails; one of which is for the expert mud runner.

You may register as an individual or as a team!
