Coast Guard honors its heroes

2013 Hall of Heroes Inductee Commander William F. McMeekin, left, shakes the hand of Capt. Paul A. Langlois, right, as McMeekin joins the line of inductees as the United States Coast Guard Academy hosts a Regimental Review Ceremony in honor of the inductees on the Washington Parade Field at the academy in New London Friday April 26, 2013. Langlois was inducted for his actions as the Aircraft Commander of a helicopter involved in a rescue at sea in 1997, while McMeekin was inducted for his helicopter work where he and his crew resuced nearly 100 people during Hurricane Katrina.
