Historic Whaleship Sails Again

The historic whaleship Charles W. Morgan is escorted through Long Island Sound by a small flotilla of spectator and support vessels on the first of four sea trials day sails, its first time under sail since 1922, Saturday, June 7, 2014. The Morgan, the last remaining wooden whaling ship and the oldest American commercial vessel still in existence as well as a National Historic Landmark, will complete three more day sails before depart to the first stop on the ship's 38th Voyage, Newport, RI, June 14th.
