Gavin Keefe has worked at The Day since 1990 and is in his 25th season of covering the UConn men’s basketball team, including the national championship teams of 1999, 2004, 2011 and 2014.. He is a native Vermonter. He attended St. Michael's College where college basketball ranked behind ice hockey and ice fishing on the popularity scale during the winter season.
