Mike DiMauro is The Day's sports columnist. He has been with the paper since 1991 and was promoted to columnist in 2000. Mike was named the 2002, 2006, 2007 and 2008 Connecticut Sportswriter of the Year by the National Association of Sportswriters and Broadcasters and has won three column writing awards from the New England Press Association. Mike has been a TV panelist on CPTV's "Beyond The Beat" talk show and does a weekly radio appearance with Lee Elci on 94.9 FM. Mike is a 1990 graduate of Boston College. He lives in Niantic with his son, Daniel.
