Many scientists oppose global warming theory
The editorial titled "Explaining nature's 'snow job,' " published Dec. 29, stated that The Day didn't understand why we didn't get it about global warming.
The comments about warming that we were making while shoveling all that snow during what was supposed to be an unusually warm winter were frowned upon. The editorial stated that new evidence substantiated claims of man-made warming and that the cooling we were experiencing was due to warming. Was the editorial discounting evidence refuting man-made climate change made by a growing numbers of scientists?
The scientific community that has called global warming bad science predicted our recent cold spell and Europe's by doing what? Examining man's impact on the environment? No, they did so by researching solar activity. Remember predictions of terrible hurricanes after Katrina? We have entered a phase where storm strength diminished, predicted by those crazy scientists who used solar activity as a guide.
The "warmers" became so concerned about losing research funding that they decided to call warming "climate change." Smart, huh?
Scientists now indicate we are entering a cooling period of about 20 years. Meanwhile, some warmers admit it's really about redistribution of wealth. Should the press start investigating to discover the truth, or promote bad science?
