    Ledyard rallies for dramatic 14-12 win over Fitch

    Ledyard –John Rainey threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Alex Manwaring with 4.7 seconds remaining as Ledyard rallied from 12-0 deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Fitch 14-12 Thursday morning.

    Trailing 12-0, Rainey and Manwaring hooked up for a TD early in the fourth quarter to pull the Colonels with 12-7, then Ledyard marched 84 yards in the final 3:07 to pull out the win and give the Colonels a home game against ECC rival Waterford in the first round of the Class M state playoffs on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

    Derrick Baldoz threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Dashawn Frederick with 3:20 left in the first quarter and later ran for a touchdown in the third quarter for the Falcons.
