Next time, fuel tax revenue with gas

Well, it finally happened, we can now buy alcohol in Connecticut on Sundays. We should be so proud of our elected officials in Hartford. They put their heads together for the good of our great state in order to keep tax revenues from going across the borders to neighboring states.

You should sit at Rhode Island gas stations 24/7 and count Connecticut registered cars purchasing gasoline. I know of one station that lost 880,000 gallons of gasoline sales last year and be aware that the lost tax revenue amounts to some $350,000 dollars (this from one station!). Now, that said, put your heads together again (for the state's good) and lower the gas tax and guess what, "we all win."

This writer does not drink alcohol, but uses gasoline.
