The Mystic & Noank Library will kick off its exterior restoration project on Wednesday, June 27, at 3 p.m.

The project scope includes repairs to the original features, such as the copper clad cupola and the two original terra cotta reliefs in the pediments; removal of asbestos and lead paint; and the repair and preservation of stained glass windows.

The project has been financed by State of Connecticut Community Investment Act funds and by the Bill and Eileen Ames Charitable Trust, which was created for the sole purpose of maintaining the original 1893 section.
