    UConn releases basketball schedule

    The UConn men's basketball schedule is out.

    A post-season ban means the Huskies will end their season on March 9 in the regular season finale against Providence at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs.

    It is one of only seven regular season games on campus this season, including the home opener Nov. 13 against Vermont in Storrs.

    UConn starts the 2012-13 season playing Michigan State in the Armed Forces Classic Nov. 9 at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

    The Huskies also play in the Virgin Islands Paradise Jam from Nov. 16-19.

    Their Big East opener is Jan. 1 at Marquette.

    They play Pittsburgh and Syracuse for the final time as Big East foes, visiting Pittsburgh on Jan. 19 and hosting Syracuse on Feb. 13 in Hartford.
