Mystic man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

Stonington — A Mystic man is in serious condition at Rhode Island Hospital today after his motorcycle struck a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of Lantern Hill and Wolf Neck roads early Saturday afternoon.

According to police, Edward Rae, 54, of 30 Cindy Lane was southbound on Lantern Hill Road at 1:19 p.m when he approached Wolf Neck Road and tried to avoid a Honda CRV driven by Chad Dodge, 29, of 86 Dayton Road, Waterford.

Rae lost control of his motorcycle and struck the SUV. He was flown by Life Star helicopter to the hospital. Police are investigating the crash.
