Preston – The Friends of Preston Public Library will hold its annual book sale Nov. 3-6, giving residents an additional reason to come to Town Hall on Election Day.

The Friends group will sell books, CDs and DVDs available, including children's fiction and nonfiction, cookbooks, biographies, adult fiction, with a large collection of romance novels.

The library will be taking donations of gently used books, DVDs, audio books, and computer games - no encyclopedias or textbooks. Materials may be left in the donation box to the right of the library door.

The book sale will be open Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Nov. 6, Election Day, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There is an ongoing display in the Library lobby of various hardback and paperback books, romance novels, children’s books, VHS tapes and audio books. All proceeds from sales of these items go to the Friends of the Preston Public Library to be used toward library projects and activities.

Previous use of FOL funds have included passes for local museums, renovation of the entryway and community room, children’s programs, book discussions and speakers.
