142nd Medical Company soldiers return to Connecticut

Windsor Locks — Seventy soldiers from the 142nd Medical Company of Naugatuck returned to Connecticut, arriving at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Windsor Locks Oct. 31.
The company, with its compliment of doctors and nurses, provided medical evacuation, laboratory, x-ray and dental services and operated Troop Medical Clinics in Afghanistan.
This was the first deployment for the company in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The unit deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Maj. Linda Cunha, of Newington, commands the company.
