Man injured in Mystic rollover

Mystic — A man stationed at the Naval Submarine Base suffered serious injuries tonight when his car flipped over onto a stone wall on Route 1 near Flanders Road in Mystic.

The accident occured at 6:55 p.m. and the man was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital. Police, who said the accident may have been caused by slick road conditions, closed Route 1 in the area to traffic.
