State police enforcement operation yields drunken driving arrests, traffic violations
State police have made 25 drunken driving arrests and have issued 280 speeding tickets as part of its New Year's enforcement campaign that began Saturday at midnight.
The enforcement operation will continue through midnight Wednesday.
State police have been assigned to patrol both highways and secondary roadways. Police are reporting 324 accidents with 29 injuries. They have also issued 17 infractions for seat belt violations.
