The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center presents "Archaeology of the Mystic Battlefield" Wednesday, April 17, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 4, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Visitors will discover Mystic Fort, the site of a battle on May 26, 1637, with museum researchers; view the film "The Witness" (30 minutes) at noon or 12:45 p.m. in the War Theater; and from 1 to 2:30 p.m., battlefield experts will discuss in detail what happened during the battle at Mystic Fort in the Pequot War Gallery.

This event is free with museum admission and free to museum members; it is one in a series of events planned in commemoration of the Pequot Museum's 15th anniversary. The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center is at 110 Pequot Trail, Mashantucket.
