Submarine school commanding officer commends Trooper Prouty for safety program

Groton — Captain David A. Roberts, the commanding officer of the Naval Submarine School, thanked a Connecticut State Trooper on Thursday, March 21, for his role in the annual Holiday Safety Program offered to all students and staff in early December.

Roberts gave Trooper Scott Prouty a letter of appreciation and told him the message of making the roads safer from alcohol-related accidents was well-received.

“Your wholehearted commitment and dedication as a Connecticut State Trooper was evident with your personal and inspirational input toward the goal of ending needless accidents and losses due to drinking and driving, especially during the holidays,” he said. “Your willingness to share this important information directly supports the U.S. Navy’s goal to prevent alcohol abuse.”
