Waterford – A motorcycle driver was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital this afternoon for treatment of injuries he sustained in a crash with a motor vehicle on Route 1 near Chelsea Groton Bank a little before 3 p.m.

The road was closed for a short time after the crash. The motorcycle driver’s injuries were not life threatening, police said.
