nominated for 3 New England Emmy Awards

The Day was nominated for three Boston/New England Emmy Awards for its Saturday Morning Showdown webcast of the football game between New London and Ledyard Nov. 10, 2012. The live webcast nominated in the Sporting Event/Game-Live/Unedited category, along with Comcast Sports Net for Boston Celtics Basketball, Cox Sports for Cox Frozen Finals, and WBZ for 2012 Boston Marathon.

The highlights show On The Sidelines with New London and Ledyard was nominated in the Sports One-Time Special category, and Peter Huoppi was nominated in the Photographer Short Form category for the webcast opening.

The award winners will be announced at a ceremony in Boston on Saturday, June 1. The Day has won two previous Boston/New England Emmy awards.
