Smoke on the water off Fishers Island
A large column of smoke could be seen rising from Fishers Island Thursday evening as emergency services performed a controlled burn of brush. The smoke is visible in this photo taken from New London, and the smell of smoke was also prevalent throughout the region due to the direction of the wind.
