Stonington High School choir to sing with Foreigner
The Stonington High School Choir will sing with Foreigner on their power ballad "I Want To Know What Love Is" when the rock group performs Sunday at MGM Grand at Foxwoods Theater. The Stonington group reigned supreme in a contest to earn that honor.
Choirs submitted videos to Foxwoods' Facebook page, and then a trio of finalists were chosen - Stonington, Mercy High School (Middletown) and Burncoat High School (Worcester, Mass.). They all performed on the WFSB Channel 3 show "Better Connecticut," and then the public voted on their favorite via the aforementioned Foxwoods' Facebook page. Stonington earned the most votes.
The Foreigner concert - with the band led by founding member-guitarist Mick Jones - begins at 7 p.m., and tickets are $20 and $45. Call (800) 200-2882.
