Cyndi Lauper in concert at MGM Grand at Foxwoods

    Cyndi Lauper

She's one step away from an EGOT!

Cyndi Lauper won a Tony Award last month for writing the score for the Broadway musical "Kinky Boots." Her acceptance speech, by the way, was adorable - genuine, funny, tearful, and all conveyed in her colorful, nasal Queens accent.

She adds that to Grammys (for best new artist and for best performance music video for "Cyndi Lauper in Paris") and to an Emmy (for her role as Ira's girlfriend Marianne in "Mad About You").

For the unitiated: an EGOT is winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. So get cracking on the movie front, Cyndi!

Lauper has put aside her other pursuits for the moment to get back to her first love: performing in concert. She'll be singing Saturday at MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

The tour is in honor of the 30th anniversary of her debut album, "She's So Unusual." Lauper - who just turned 60 - is performing "Unusual" in its entirety, with a few other numbers thrown in, too.

    - KRISTINA DORSEY

Cyndi Lauper, 8 p.m. Saturday, MGM Grand at Foxwoods; $40; 1-800-200-2882.
