    UConn basketball news on Nolan, 2K Sports Classic

    Some UConn basketball news to pass along:

    Game times are set for the 2K Sports Classic semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 21, atMadisonSquareGarden inNew York.

    UConn will playBostonCollegeat 7 p.m. in the first game of the doubleheader. Indiana and Washington square off in the second game.

    It will be the 90

    th

    meeting between theNew England rivals and first since January 2005.

    Consolation and championship games will be held at Friday, starting at 5 p.m.

    All four schools will each host two regional round games prior to heading toNew York.

    In other UConn news, sophomore Phil Nolan will play for the East Coast All-Star team representing the United States in the 2013 Four Nations Cup on July 25-27 in Estonia.

    Prior to the trip, the East Coast team will participate in a training camp at Fordham University this Saturday and Sunday and then leave for Estonia on Monday.

    Nolan’s team will play an exhibition against an Estonian club team before taking on the top FIBA national teams of Belarus, Estonia and the Slovak Republic.

     Other players on the roster include: Russ Smith, Louisville; Eron Harris, West Virginia; Mike Gbinije, Syracuse; Jarrodd Uthoff, Iowa; Jabrille Williams, Binghamton; Kadeem Batts, Providence; Tate Unruh, Northern Colorado; Rakeem Christmas, Syracuse; Tom Knight, Notre Dame; Mike Rudy and Justin Miller, Lycoming.

    Guy Rancourt is the head coach and his assistant is Ken Hamanaka.
