New London — Firefighters have extinguished a fire on the second floor of a home at 715 Ocean Ave.

The fire was reported at 7:50 p.m. Two residents of the home were brought to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, one with a minor burn and the other with breathing problems, according to Fire Chief Henry Kydd.
