UPDATED: State police charge 50 with drunken driving over holiday weekend

State police issued more than 1,500 speeding tickets and made 50 arrests for drunken driving over the Labor Day weekend.

State police gave 1,513 speeding tickets, 237 seat belt violation citations and issued 3,513 tickets for other motor vehicle violations.

Police responded to 259 accidents of which three people were killed and 44 were injured.
